Objectives

 
  • Promote global competency among students by integrating international opportunities and
        perspectives into curricular and co-curricular programs.
  •  
  • Maintain a diverse and talented international community of students and scholars to enrich
        campus life and strengthen cross-cultural understanding.
  •  
  • Develop affordable study abroad opportunities for all MU undergraduate and graduate
        students.
  •  
  • Encourage, support and reward faculty and staff members for developing the international
        dimension of their research, teaching and/or service to the University, and a culture of
        continuous quality improvement in education and administration on campus.
  •  
  • Broaden the application of new technologies in teaching and research with global partners.
  •  
  • Expand outreach programs and activities to promote international awareness throughout the
        community.
  •  
  • Strengthen our relationship with international and study abroad alumni.
  •  
  • Develop strategic relationships with institutions abroad and critically assess existing
        relationships for alignment with campus priorities.
  •  
  • Strengthen the management of and structural support for a broadly internationalized
        campus grounded in a rich history of humanitarian engagements and enlightened by the
        needs of our time. MU is on the threshold of unprecedented greatness.
